Monika Duszyńska, together with Paulina Konefał and Tomasz Jędrejko prepared the Trends & Developements section in this year’s edition of the Life Sciences 2024 guide by Chambers & Partners, in which the authors presented selected problems, topics of greatest interest and key legislative changes from the point of view of the pharmaceutical industry.
Our lawyers presented revolutionary changes in the reimbursement of drugs and medical devices, a discussion on Poland’s drug safety and actions taken by the authorities to ensure it (including support for domestic manufacturing of medicines). The publication also presents the new Act on Clinical Trials on Medicinal Products for Human Use, as well as new requirements applicable to the promotion of medical devices. We are also writing about the first court judgment overturning the decision of the supervisory authority (GIF) obliging a pharmaceutical company to reimburse the costs of quality tests of a drug. Many companies had received such decisions, which resulted in serious financial burdens.
